1 year old Husky mix needs a loving home! in Esparto, California For Sale

This handsome boy is available for adoption! We are in the Sacramento area, located in Esparto (near Cache Creek) but can meet in Woodland.
He is mostly Siberian Husky and German Shepherd with Giant Alaskan Malamute.
He just turned one year old on April 22nd (born xxxx) and he has already been fixed, up to date on rabies and parvo vaccinations. He is a gentle giant - he was just weighed at currently 90 pounds and not done growing.
- He is very good-natured and great with children!
- He needs to be an INDOOR dog! He loves to play outside for hours on end, but he is NOT a lawn ornament. If he is used as a live decoration for your yard, you won't have much yard left. He howls, screams and he may eat your doors off the hinges to get back inside and be with his pack.
He is a terrible outside dog, but he is very calm and content inside. He needs to be part of the family.
- He loves other dogs of all shapes and sizes, he is very submissive and will let others be the boss.
He is a big baby who even lets smaller dogs push him around and is not too rough when he plays, but he does need to be reminded not to put his paws on smaller dogs; he is not rough but he does not know his own strength.
He would do best with another dog, especially another energetic medium or large dog he can play with.
- He is not fully trustworthy with cats. With strict training he may improve, but he has not been kept with them for several months and sometimes he does try to chase them. He is big and could do damage if he caught them.
- He walks fairly well on a leash but he needs training because he does pull.
He is NOT "off-leash trained" - if you were to try, you would not have him for long. It is not in the nature of a husky to reliably come when called, they were bred to run and explore and they will.
- He is young, active and needs frequent exercise to help prevent boredom, which can lead to him being noisy and destructive when unattended. A long walk regularly will make a big difference - he is a perfect jogging partner!
He will also self-exercise quite well if he has a good sized yard and another dog to run with.
- A securely fenced yard is a must; climb and dig preventions recommended (or a kennel with the same) if he is to be outdoors without supervision.
Training would be strongly recommended to help him grow into a well-mannered adult, especially with professional obedience classes. He needs someone who will be patient and consistent with him. He has close relatives who are brilliant service dogs.
Prior experience with Nordic breeds (such as huskies and malamutes) is a plus, but not required - though you must have done your research or be willing to learn about these animals before being considered; they are beautiful but not the right match for everyone.
